Saraswati Online.Com organized a Parents’ Meet on 20th July, 2019 at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata. Students currently studying MBBS abroad and Parents attended the Meet. The meeting started with a welcome address following which, Mr. Atanu Mukherjee, Vice President, Operations talked about Saraswati Online.Com and its other venture, Saraswati Online.Com Academy, where specialized training is provided for NEET and JEE exams. Mr. Ashok Kumar, Vice President, Sales and Marketing announced the opening of a new office of Saraswati Online.Com in Delhi. Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli, Chief Mentor of Saraswati Online.Com then addressed the gathering and talked about the organization and the journey of SOLC so far. Dr. Shiva Shankar Bhadra, alumni of Dali University and SOLC shared his experiences in China and talked about his life and career at present. Mr. Monirul Haque from Sangen International, Bangladesh talked about Medical education in Bangladesh. The current students then shared their experiences at their respective countries and talked about life at their universities. Mr. Sandip Singh talked about Medical education in Ukraine, Ms. Katrina from Ukraine threw some light on Bogomolets University and the system of studies there. Dr. Andriichuk Vitali, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Head Professor of Anatomy of Vinnitsia National Medical University, Ukraine talked about the scheme of studies in his University. The parents of the current students talked about their feelings about the organization and shared their experiences so far. The speeches were followed by an open house and then the programme ended with a sumptuous lunch.
On 2nd June, 2019 fifty-seven parents representing twenty nine students gathered together at Bhubaneswar for the annual students’ and parents’ meet hosted by SaraswatiOnline.com India limited. The meeting was addressed by Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli, Chief Mentor of SaraswatiOnline.Com and Mr. Saroj Mahanti, director of the Bhubaneshwar office. The parents and staff deliberated on various issues including the service of care provided to the students through the course of their education. The parents were extremely pleased with the system of academic as well as pastoral care set up by SaraswatiOnline.Com. There were discussions on how most students graduating through Saraswati Online.Com have done incredibly well, passing MCI in the first attempt. Many have gone into their master’s degree and have completed their MD/MS. A few have already gone to the doctoral level of study that is MCH/DM.
Parents of students who graduated eons ago came to show their camaraderie and respect towards the organisation. A student from Orissa, Debashis Sahu appeared for the MCI in December and cleared with a score of 184 out of 300. He is a graduate of Nanchang University, PR China. His parents were present at the meeting although he could not make it. Another student though, namely Prosenjit Swine attended the meeting. He had also appeared for the MCI in December and scored 183 on 300 in his first attempt. He is a graduate of Southern Medical University, PR China. The evening ended with the giving out of congratulatory certificates to such students who passed the MCI screening test on their first attempt.
The support and love given by the parents were warmly welcomed by the Saraswati Online.Com management, it renewed their sprit and their faith that they were on the right path.
The Evolving Trends in Medical Education (ETME)-2019, the 4th International conference, held in LuZhou, co-hosted by Southwest Medical Univeristy, has been a successful in not just understanding but also implementing those discussed in ETME-2016, for medical education, International MBBS Program in China. The conference was attended by various Medical Universities in South Asia. The guest of honour was Ms. Ma Zhonghui, the Deputy Mayor of Luzhou city.
ETME-2019, like it’s predecessor emphasised on bridging the gap between International MBBS program and standard undergraduate medical program. As more and more foreign students are being enrolled for International MBBS program, the need for standardisation of curriculum has always been the main agenda of ETME. It’s has been an uphill task to meet the challenges faced and various issues related to standardisation, including managing students of different countries, were discussed in this edition of ETME.
The distinguished guest speakers from India & Nepal gave insight on Medical Education & Medical Licensing exams in their respective countries, thereby comparing with international MBBS program and identifying the areas that needs a significant attention in International MBBS program.
ETME – 2019 had many original articles presented in technical sessions and deservingly, a paper from each session was awarded with Best Paper award. The technical sessions included papers on Pedagogy; Content & Syllabus; Innovations in teaching & use of technology; Licensing examination: Teaching, Learning approaches & differences and Student Management. The paper presentations and discussions were overwhelming and the newer methods discussed can be put into practice.
The panel discussion on campus discipline and academic discipline was attended by Directors, Deans, Academicians & personnel from administration addressed some common issues faced by every university. It was intriguing and informative.
This edition of ETME, for the first time, had participation and paper presentation by alumni of Southwest Medical University, LuZhou; Dali Univeristy, Dali; Jinan University, Guangzhou & Southern Medical University, Guangzhou.
For guiding the foreign students from India & Nepal about the licensing exams in their respective countries, A Handbook on Indian Medical Licensing Examination – FMGE was released & the same was shared with all the universities participating in ETME-2019; and Dr. Ankur Shah, Executive Member of Nepal Medical Council addressed about Nepal Licensing Examination to all the universities participated in ETME-2019.
SaraswatiOnline.Com organized its first Alumni Award meet of MBBS Doctors and Felicitation Ceremony for FMGE cleared Doctors in 1st at Trichy, Tamil Nadu on 28th April, 2019. The meet was presided over by Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli, Chief Mentor, SaraswatiOnline.Com. Alumni students attended the meet and were very happy to be a part of such a programme. An Alumni association of Trichy Chapter was also formed on the day. The ad hoc committee includes:

The tournament came to an end on 29th April, 2019.
