Speculations are that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2021), which is scheduled to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on August 1, 2021, may get postponed owing to a delay in the registration procedure. Generally, the application and registration procedure for NEET-UG begins 60 days before the exams, however, this year, the process hasn't begun yet. According to reports, Experts are pointing out that with only 40 days left to the scheduled date, it is almost impossible for NTA to conduct NEET on August 1 as per schedule.
So far, there has been no update from either NTA or the Ministry of Education regarding any changes in the announced dates. Officials have announced that decision on soon to be conducted JEE Main 2021 exams and NEET 2021 exam date will be taken soon.
Sources have confirmed that the current situation as well as possible window to conduct the examination is under consideration. Experts have also stated that August 1 may be the best window to conduct the examination. With a prediction of the third wave by October, many academicians are wishing for exams to be conducted in August itself, if not on 1st.
