Bangladesh Medical Education Fair 2017

For the first time in India, Saraswati Online.Com successfully organized the Bangladesh Medical Education Fair on 1st and 2nd July at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata. The program started from 10:00 AM in the morning and went on till 7:00 PM in the evening.

The education system in Bangladesh has steadily gained importance in the global academic scenario. The country attracts students not only from India but from remote corners of the world. Let us think about why studying Medicine in Bangladesh can be an easy task for the students who aspire to reach new heights in life. Firstly, the social and cultural similarities that exist between India and Bangladesh make it really easy for the students to reside and study in Bangladesh. Secondly, the language barrier is non-existent in Bangladesh, therefore, it is easier for the students to understand the symptoms and it also becomes easier for the patient to communicate the problems to the doctor. Thirdly, since the disease patters in India and Bangladesh are strikingly similar, it is easier for the students to learn about the diseases easily and in turn diagnose properly. Fourthly, since the syllabus in Bangladesh and India are mostly similar, thus, when a student studies medicine in Bangladesh it becomes much easier for the student to achieve success at the MCI examination for which the student has to appear to continue practice in India.

The primary objective of the fair was to spread awareness about the rapidly improving education system in Bangladesh which is going to emerge as a very important centre for learning.

There are many Indian students who aspire to become successful doctors in the future. To turn that dream into reality, they not only have to qualify in the NEET but also have to secure good ranks. Students who are unable to do that need not be heartbroken; we help them make their dreams come true.

Coming to the event, it was inaugurated on the special occasion of Doctor’s Day, 1st of July.  The fair started off by paying respect to Dr. B.C Roy on his birthday. Eminent guests such as Mr. Gouranga Banerjee, Vice Chairman, West Bengal Sports Council and Mr. Shyamal Mondal, MLA, Canning West and Partha Sarathi Ganguly, the chief mentor of Saraswati Online.Com were present there. Apart from them, senior officials from 8 universities from Bangladesh, such as Anwer Khan Modern Medical College, Northern International Medical College & Hospital, Rangpur Community Medical College & Hospital, Khwaja Yunus  Ali Medical College & Hospital, Shahbuddin Medical College & Hospital, Barind Medical College, Shah Mokhdum Medical College & Hospital and Southern Medical College were present there to offer spot admission guidance and brief the people about their available facilities.

The fair went on for the two consecutive days. The footfall was really overwhelming, students and parents joined in from different parts of West Bengal. The turnout was a really fruitful one and the people who attended the Fair were really serious about making a career in Medicine. The feedback of the parents was also really good; they appreciated the effort put up by the organization in bringing up such prospects of Education which were largely unknown to the people of India as on date.
