There will be no further change in the dates of Neet and JEE exams, the Supreme Court on Monday said after dismissing a PIL seeking postponement of the two tests. A three-judge bench headed by Justice Arun Misra said: “The careers of students cannot be endangered. Are all students ready to waste one year? The education system needs to be reopened.” Life must go on with all the precautions that are needed the judges were quoted as saying by a section of the media.
The decision came following a petition filed by eleven students from eleven different states. These students had urged that the tests be held only after the Corona pandemic situation normalizes.
NEET is scheduled to be held on 13th September and JEE between 1st and 6th September, 2020.
