Slightly below previous two years’ turnouts, around 85 to 90 per cent candidates appeared for undergraduate medical entrance exam NEET on the 12th of September, 2021. This is according to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

The turnout had been 92.85 per cent in 2019 and 95.7 per cent in 2018. The National Testing Agency conducted the NEET for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at 3,862 centres across India. Nearly 16 lakh students had registered for the test. The aspirtants are vying for about 80,000 medical seats in the country.
